BIOGRAPHY
Myron's field of expertise includes commercial litigation with an emphasis on insolvency and business rescue law. In expansion thereof, he has assisted on several high-profile insolvencies, insolvency interrogations and business rescues and has acted for a broad range of clients including business rescue practitioners, liquidators, listed entities, multinational corporations, and creditors.
Beyond his specialization in insolvency-related matters, he has amassed substantial experience in criminal law and labour and employment law.
His work in criminal law includes defending individuals (and corporations) in various criminal proceedings, ensuring their rights are protected throughout the process. In the realm of labour and employment law, he has advised both employers and employees on a wide range of issues, including workplace disputes, compliance with labour regulations, and contract negotiations.
This broad expertise allows him to offer strategic advice tailored to the unique needs of each client, enabling them to effectively address and resolve multifaceted legal challenges across diverse sectors.
EDUCATION
Myron earned his B.A. and LL.B. degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand. He further strengthened his academic profile by completing a Post Graduate Certificate in Business Management, graduating with distinction, and ranking at the top of his class. He also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PDBA) from the same institution, once again with distinction.
He extended his expertise by completing the "Programme in South African Insolvency Law and Practice," offered by the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals (INSOL International) in collaboration with the South African Restructuring and Insolvency Practitioner Association (SARIPA), also with distinction. This comprehensive education provides him with a robust foundation in both general legal principles and specialized business and insolvency practices.
In recognition of his potential and achievements, Myron was named a future leader of South Africa by INSOL International in 2024.
Myron joined Fluxmans in 2016 and was appointed as a director in 2024.
